“Evaluation of political parties and leading politicians of the Leningrad region by residents of the Leningrad region” research project has started. The research project is being carried out under #OK-7 contract dated August 15, 2016 commissioning sociological evaluation of assessment of social and economic, political, social and psychological processes undergoing in the Leningrad region by the region’s residents. The research involves carrying out two focus groups discussions in each of the six municipal areas of the Leningrad region.

Third Forum of the International Sociological Association: The Futures We Want: Global Sociology and the Struggles for a Better World

On 10-14 July 2016, the third ISA Forum convened in Vienna, Austria. About 4000 sociologists from 100 countries took part in the Forum. A. S. Boyashov, research specialist of the Resource Center, and A. E. Kuteinikov, Assistant Professor of the Sociology Department of the SPSU, presented a paper on the development of global professional groups in the process of defending human dignity in the European Court of Human Rights. The staff of the Center for Sociological and Internet Research helped to collect and process the data using the Center’s equipment. Focusing on the mechanism of human dignity defense in the European Court of Human Rights, the researchers have analyzed the entire base of the court's decisions.

The research project includes sample calculation and personal interview instrument development, group managers mentoring and research support to field works, data entering and processing. The project deliverables include the electronic SPSS database and analytical report of the research findings.

The research project includes sample calculation and personal interview instrument development, group managers mentoring and research support to field works, data entering and processing. The fieldwork encompasses 58 areas of the Russian Federation. The project deliverables include the electronic SPSS database and analytical report of the research findings.
