A telephone survey analyzing opinions of the Leningrad region residents on the major issues of the 2016 year has begun. The survey is part of the research project that is being carried out under №OK-7 contract dated August 15, 2016. The contract commissions a sociological evaluation of assessment of social and economic, political, social and psychological processes undergoing in the Leningrad region by the region’s residents. For this project, at least 1500 residents residing in 17 municipal areas of the Leningrad region will be interviewed.

“Dialogue in Search of Consistency“ Forum

On October 24 and 25, staff members of the Resource Center participated in the XV anniversary all-Russia forum dedicated to strategic planning in Russia’s regions and cities. Since 2002, the forum has become the main platform for discussion of methods and mechanisms of strategic planning. In addition, the forum has become the main platform for constructive discussion of the most important and up-to-date issues in implementation strategies and that of complex urban and regional development projects.

Participation in the conference

On September 22-23, staff members of the Resource Center – Ksenia Tsyganova and Svetlana Snopova – took part in the "The Internet, Policy and Politics" International Conference that took place in the University of Oxford, United Kingdom. Ksenia Tsyganova presented a paper "Comparing Friendship vs Communication Networks among Members of Politically Motivated Online Groups".
